If you find logging into your favorite shipper’s website to track packages takes forever, there is an easy solution. Just type the tracking number into Google and hit return. UPS, Fedex and the USPS are all supported. You are taken to the appropriate website with the current information on the shipment, bypassing the extra keystrokes and clicks.

In addition to tracking packages, Google also provides other convenient ways to get quick answers for lots of common questions:

Find current weather conditions by typing in a zip code or town and state followed by “weather”

Track an airline flight by typing in the carrier and flight number

Calculate mathematical equations by typing in the information

Convert any currency. For example “usd in pesos”

Put in any stock symbol and receive an instant quote (try AAPL and pretend you own 400 shares!)

Get sunrise and sunset times by typing “sunrise Los Angeles” or “sunset Chicago”

… and men, here’s an important one. Get your favorite teams’ sports score and schedule, by typing their name “Boston Red Sox”

There’s a lot more where this came from, too.
